Terms of Service
Last updated: September 8, 2026
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WooPOS (“the Service”), a point-of-sale application that connects to your WooCommerce store. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you are agreeing on that business’s behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.
2. What WooPOS does
WooPOS is a companion application to your existing WooCommerce store. It reads and writes data to your store via the WooCommerce REST API using API keys you provide, so that you can process in-person sales that stay in sync with your catalog, orders, customers, and stock. WooPOS does not host your store, your products, or your storefront — it is a tool that operates on top of a store you already run.
3. Accounts and workspaces
You need an account to use WooPOS. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. A “workspace” connects one WooCommerce store to one or more team members; the workspace owner controls who else has access and what they can do (via roles) and connects and disconnects the store’s API credentials.
4. Your store data and API credentials
To function, WooPOS stores your WooCommerce consumer key and secret, encrypted at rest, and uses them solely to make API requests to your own store on your behalf. We do not sell, share, or use your store data — products, orders, customers, or sales — for any purpose other than operating the Service for you. You can disconnect your store, which removes stored credentials, at any time from Settings.
5. Early access and pricing
WooPOS is currently offered under early-access pricing while we gather feedback from initial customers. Prices shown on our pricing page may change; if we introduce paid billing or change pricing for your plan, we will give you reasonable advance notice before it takes effect for your account.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to access a WooCommerce store you do not own or are not authorized to manage.
- Attempt to circumvent, probe, or disrupt the security or availability of the Service.
- Use the Service to process transactions that are fraudulent, unlawful, or that violate WooCommerce’s or your payment processor’s own terms.
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms, or if required to protect the security or integrity of the Service. Your own WooCommerce store and its data are unaffected by termination of your WooPOS account, since WooPOS never becomes the system of record for your store.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. WooPOS depends on your WooCommerce store, your hosting, and third-party infrastructure being available and behaving correctly; we are not liable for issues originating outside our systems. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WooPOS and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
